This year's recital was an amazing wonderful event performed by our talented students ages 3 years to 18.
The show was a tribute to our local towns and neighborhoods we live and work in! It was our 30th anniversary and we felt
that we wanted to share our thanks with all those that are close to us here in Wakefield and surrounding communities.
Students performed routines in honor of local organizations and businesses that we all enjoy as well as the spirit of the town.
There is a video running in the lobby of the studio if you're interested in previewing a bit of it stop in, we'd love to see you.

We had a very busy and exciting summer this year! We were honored to be asked to participate in the childrens 4th of
July events held at Lake Quannapowitt this year. Our students thoroughly enjoyed helping the little ones with the doll
carriage, baby carriage and bicycle parades. Our performance was a patriotic tribute to Uncle Sam as well as the opening
number from our show paying tribute to Wakefield; the amazing response during our performance was overwhelming! We look
forward to being a part of it every year!

Some of our advanced students were thrilled to have guest teachers from N.Y. come to the studio! The classes were
amazing and the students were chosen to learn some cutting edge choreography which they will compete and perform this year.

Congratulations to our 5 Dance Education Training Course graduates. The course is a 3 year program with both a written
and performance exam. It is held in Randolph and run by The Dance Teachers Club of Boston with the American society.
This years graduates are; Michelle Prew, Olivia Romano, Christina Serrano, Emily Adams, Hilary Johnson. The graduation
was a beautiful ceremony with the students all in white gowns entering with a grand march. The students later
performed a production routine that was a tribute to Michael Jackson. It was a great day and we are very proud of our girls!

The second year of the Leia Brown Scholarship was awarded at the banquet this past June. Leia is a former student who faced many
challenges in life and enjoyed her years at the studio. She asked that for her 30th birthday guests make a donation in her name
to award a student at Dance Studio of Wakefield a scholarship to continue their education. Leia was a wonderful student and her
generosity is overwhelming. This years recipients were Briana DeVincenzo and Olivia Romano.
