Spring 2006 Newsletter
A huge thank you to all of the families that contributed to the success of our "Toys for Tots" campaign. Again it was a big success and we are thrilled to be able to contribute to such a worthwhile program.
Many of our dance students, young and old, did a spectacular job performing in local Nutcrackers this season. We are thrilled that your ballet instruction at the Wakefield studio was able to give you such a wonderful opportunity. Students were seen in many capacities from small to large roles in the Melrose Youth Ballet and the Northeast Youth Ballet. Congrats to all!!!
Congratulations to our Dance Company members attending and competing at the West Coast Dance Explosion Convention held in Rhode Island during February Vacation! It was a great 2 days of classes with dance lessons from an amazing Master Faculty. The girls competed in the evening and took home all Gold Medals including Top Junior Group for Junior 5! Congratulations to Abi Ameele for making it to the final cut of the scholarship audition and Margaret Cadden for winning one of the scholarships! Great Job!
Recital assignments have been posted in the lobby and on the DSW website. Please take note of your recital day and time. Please be aware; this is a chronological listing, it is not the order of performance.
Costumes will be going home in the near future and a picture date will be scheduled. Will be holding class photos this year so please watch for the upcoming date which should be secured in the next few weeks.
Our March Dance Show "A Competition Premiere" was a huge success and the audience was a great support. We thank all those that came to cheer us on and donated to our fundraising efforts.
We wish all of our Dance Companies good luck as you approach your Competition Season!!
