Meet Us

Sisters Diane Abraham, Susan Edson and Peggy Cerulo (the Moore sisters formerly of Wakefield) are co-owners of The Dance Studio of Wakefield which was founded in the fall of 1979. Our goal here at the Dance Studio of Wakefield is to provide quality dance instruction in a comfortable and respectful class atmosphere where all students will feel welcome and successful. Whether a recreational dance student or a student who wishes to pursue higher education in dance we believe each student can reach their full potential with our guidance in any of our dance programs.

Diane and Susan (co-directors) are members of the Dance Masters of America and Dance Teachers Club of Boston with the American Society where they have served on the board of directors. Peggy (operations director) is also a member of Dance Teachers Club of Boston and serves as monitor for their conventions and workshops.

Diane and Susan are graduates of the Dance Teacher Training Course and are proud of the many students that have passed through the classrooms at Dance Studio of Wakefield. Many students have gone on to further their dance education in prestigious college and university programs, have received top awards both regionally and nationally as well as working in the professional venue.

Our Distinguished Staff

Our staff consists of the following instructors;

Karen Celli, Marcy Manzi, Andrea Lynch, Linda Alleca, Tara Christie, Lauren Kelleher, Laura Nazzaro, Taryn Cagnina

Our distinguished and award-winning staff includes graduates of respected Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Fine Arts programs from prestigious colleges and universities and certificate programs such as Dance Teachers Club of Boston and Dance Masters of America where they maintain active memberships and continue their education. Collectively they have many years of dance and teaching experience working with students of all ages and abilities and have received many awards and accolades for their choreography and training.
